We are a large community centre in the heart of Winlaton. Run by the community for the community. The centre is run by volunteers. We provide emergency food and access to Free food at 2 markets each week. Our charity collect surplus food from local supermarkets (Marks & Spencer, The Co-op and Tesco) which may be past its best before date and which would usually end up as waste, we sort and offer it to our local community. The produce is also used to make healthy and nutritious meals for our lunch clubs and to give out to local people in need. WE also offer a variety of classes and clubs, sport and fitness, parent and toddler groups, lunch clubs for older people and access to professional services. Registered charity 1160323

As a Parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), we are deeply rooted in Christian faith through worship, evangelism, discipleship, and community engagement. RCCG House of Favour Parish, Newcastle is a faith-based organization with a strong social mission to reduce hardship, foster inclusion, and strengthen community wellbeing. Through food support, youth mentorship, family programmes, and outreach to vulnerable groups, we create safe, supportive spaces that empower individuals and bring people together. Changing Lives, a charity who supports over 14,000 people across the country each year experiencing homelessness, abuse and exploitation, addiction and long-term unemployment. We believe that everyone deserves a safe home, a rewarding job and a life free from addiction or abuse. We also believe that, given the right support, anyone can change their life for the better. Our dispersed accommodation provides solutions to homelessness that give people the opportunity to live independently, in their own self-contained accommodation, with varying levels of support models available. The intention is that the option for independent supported living will be offered at the earliest possible opportunity and will ideally be the penultimate step in someone’s journey out of homelessness, preparing them to successfully move-on into a permanent home. With the rapidly increasing food and energy costs coupled with changes to the tax and benefits system it is creating a perfect storm for the people we support, excluding them from society and pushing them further towards a life of extreme poverty. Already, we are seeing a devastating picture for many people we work with. I am writing to you today to ask if you would consider making a donation of food or monetary vouchers to Newcastle Dispersed team. This would be in order for us to provide welcome packs of food, toiletries and cleaning products to new tenants and also to provide our current tenants with a Christmas meal and gift. As a charity, we rely heavily on the generosity and support of local individuals and businesses to enable us to continue providing our services and help people live happy and fulfilling lives. Any donations made will be thanked appropriately on all social media channels.
