How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD STOCKTON CIC

Stockton-on-Tees, UK

RCCG Stockton CIC is a Christian Faith based community interest group that provide assistance to the less privileged in the community. We provide social, psychological and often material support for individuals and families within Teesside, county Durham and Tyneside. We provide emotional support and ensuring they are living fulfilled life. RCCG Stockton is dedicated to funding and delivering charitable services to our local community and we strive to inspire and improve the lives of those who need assistance. We have over three years experience in helping people stay worm and dry through our charity, and food distribution to the less privilege, as well as vulnerable people and families on low incomes in the community. We help anybody who needs our support; young, old, single people and families from all backgrounds, religious beliefs and ethnic origins, without prejudice. The one thing they all have in common is that we aim to treat everyone fairly and with dignity. There is no charge for the food.

Some of our activities include: • Community shops, lunch clubs, cooking workshops, and community gardens • Family pop-up events and volunteer opportunities • Collecting surplus food from local supermarkets to share in our free, no-referral community shops • Donating second-hand clothes, household goods, and furniture to ease financial pressure and promote sustainability We work with children, adults, vulnerable groups, and BAME communities, providing training opportunities like Level 2 Food Hygiene and supporting people to build skills and confidence.
