How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The King's C of E Primary Academy

Newark, UK

At The King’s C of E primary Academy, our school vision ‘Growing confident and aspirational people who contribute positively to their community and the wider world’ is held together by our Christian values of Kindness, Friendship and Faith. We are determined to serve our community and make a real difference to the lives of our children, their families and the community around us. Currently we have 269 pupils. 47% of these pupils are classed as Pupil Premium children meaning we have a much higher than national average of disadvantaged pupils. We would like to support our families with setting up a food bank within our school so that anybody who needs to access this is able to (not just our deprived families). Our school is located in a deprived area. Our families will benefit greatly from us providing an onsite food bank.
