FoodCycle is a national charity that builds communities through the power of good food. FoodCycle is based upon the simple idea that waste and poverty should not co-exist and that something powerful can be achieved by cooking and eating together. Every week, volunteers across the country reclaim surplus food destined for the bin. This food is instead cooked into healthy, tasty three-course community meals for vulnerable people.

The ymca works to enable young people to grow to their full potential by participating in a supportive and inclusive community through its housing, youth work, health and fitness and other programmes. the main group who benefit are those in the age range 8 to 28 through a variety of programmes from short duration specialist interventions to supported housing offered over a number of years.

Jimmy’s Cambridge is one of Cambridge’s leading providers of support and accommodation to people who are and have been experiencing homelessness. We aim to help people get people off the streets and into their own home, backed up with all the support we can offer from our talented and committed team of staff, volunteers and partners. Jimmy’s currently runs a range of services in Cambridge: - •24/7 emergency accommodation service based on East Road, with 25 beds, where people stay with us generally from 28 – 56 days. •People can then move onto one of our 9 shared houses, where we support people for up to a period of 2 years, while helping them to more sustainable accommodation. Multiple Need Project, supporting 9 people who have more complex needs •Extended or ‘floating’ support, where we support people who have moved on from Jimmy’s accommodation, but still need our help. •Emergency winter service (SWEP), providing extra beds and support on cold nights between October and March in a partnership with the City Council. •22 new single-occupancy modular home, in a partnership with Allia Future Business, and Hills Group We have relationships with many people, organisations, businesses, and partners across Cambridge and beyond, who support the work that we do in many different ways – we could not operate without them.
