The Hertford Pantry
Hertford, UK
The Hertford Pantry has been set up to provide fresh and ambient food to local residents. The fresh food will be donated by local supermarkets and will be given to anyone who wants it. This help people struggling to make ends meet and prevents food waste.
The second stream of ambient food will be bought with money from grants and fund raising. This food will be provided to people who declare they need it. There is no formal criteria.
We will also provide food and recipes bagged ready for families who are in urgent need.
The pantry will open Monday 1-2pm, Wednesday 1.30-2.30pm and Saturday 11-12 noon. The Saturday session is to enable those who are working to access the food.

We are a Charity Organisation Restoring Outdoor Space for Our Community
We are transforming abandoned wasteland into a community outdoors space for Biodiversity and Permaculture, as well as studying Herbalism and Agronomy.
We want to use Ayurveda to:
1. Work with local members of the community and beyond to ignite interest in saving and generating new life to the land
2. Use our Wellness Garden to create opportunities for therapeutic gardening, mindfulness and healing
3. Raise awareness and promote educational opportunities with the public and hopefully schools; not only through fun fact boards, but also through hands on gardening experiences, practical demonstrations, and skills, knowledge and exploration sessions
4. Create a safe public space available to use for events and gatherings, public hire, and wild camping as well as providing a weekly food bank service with any gifted food donations received.
5. Be an ever expanding home to a wild variety of plants, flowers and local wildlife, as well as provide a place of sanctuary and peace for all with and without garden access
We are a Local group of volunteers changing this waste land into a Family Friendly outdoor space to study Permaculture, Herbalism, Agronomy, Horticulture and Ayurveda.
Our vision is to connect people with nature again, by transforming the land into a safe, self sufficient and flourishing green environment for all to enjoy visually, emotionally and practically, as well as reconnecting with the local community.
We are holding our Food Bank Service every Sunday 7pm - 8pm, and welcome Surplus Food donations.

Jedidiah feeding those in need
Hertford, UK
At Jedidiah, we believe nobody should have to choose between dignity and dinner. We are a community pantry with a big heart and an even bigger sense of welcome.
We're more than a place to fill a shopping bag. We're a place to be seen. Our shelves are stocked with good, nourishing food, and our doors are open to anyone who needs them: no judgement, no awkward questions, just a friendly face and a fuller basket on the way out.
We're powered by volunteers and held together by one simple belief: a strong community looks after its own. Food is about more than what's on the plate, it's comfort, connection, and the quiet reassurance that someone's got your back.
