How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Sutton Community Works

Carshalton, UK

We’re a charity passionate about serving people in Sutton, and with our food projects we want to help people out of food poverty. We run Sutton foodbank as part of the Trussell Trust Network, providing people in crisis with 3 days of long-life food. In 2025, Sutton Foodbank fed an average of 250 adults and children per month. We also run Sutton Community Food Shop, where we serve around 100 households per week who are struggling on low or no income. People receive 15-20 food and toiletry items for just £4 - although people pay a small amount towards their 'shop' we are completely reliant on donations and fundraising to provide the food needed. Any food or funds we receive through Neighbourly will be used to help those in most need.
