Via Community Ltd
Surbiton, UK
VIA provides drug and alcohol services in Kingston. We do not charge for our services and provide a non judgemental holistic approach to dealing with people and their families experiencing addiction. We work within the community and in collaboration with other organisations. We have criminal justice and rough sleepers teams and provide 1to1 key worker sessions, as well as groups, social events, coffee mornings and drop ins. We also provide harm reduction programmes and can offer detox and rehab facilities. We are dedicated to supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Our service users include vulnerable adults as well as young people who are facing immense challenges such as homelessness, parental substance use, gang involvement, poverty, abuse, and exploitation. We are hoping that you will be able to support us on this vital mission. Food is a major incentive to get people to engage. Our drop ins, coffee mornings and our groups benefit hugely from food being available. It encourages people to feel included and connected and promotes trust. For some of our clients it will be the only meal they have that day. For others a lifeline to feeling accepted. Many of our clients have poor diets and eating is not their first priority. We desperately need sandwiches etc. We hope together we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our service users.
