How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Evolve Housing + Support

London, UK

Every year, we provide housing and support to over 1,000 people impacted by homelessness in London. Homelessness in London can take many forms, and the causes are different for everyone. We deliver personal support built around each person’s unique strengths, aspirations and goals. By doing so, we help them move away from homelessness and into independence, for good. - We provide supported accommodation for people who need somewhere to live. - We offer a health and wellbeing service to meet the mental and physical health needs of those staying with us. - We deliver a work and learning programme to equip people with the skills and experience they need to find jobs and educational opportunities. - We work with young parents and children at risk of exclusion to build the skills and resilience that can help prevent homelessness before it starts. We believe in building on people’s strengths, aspirations and goals to help break the cycle of homelessness and help them move forward with their lives.

Light Life Full Gospel Fellowship

London, UK

We are a registered charitable organisation operating a Foodbank service from our church building, we rescue surplus food in partnership with Neighbourly and Fareshare - food that would otherwise go to Landfill. We transport this back to our base where we sort the food into parcels, then redistributes it to families and individuals who are struggling to put food on their table. We serve over 300 people on a weekly basis. This includes a delivery service for elderly and disabled people who are most vulnerable in the community. In 2022 after lockdown we started operating a warm space service, one day per week providing three meals and social activities which is good interaction with the community also. We have seen this as a vital service to the community but the demandis rising due to the economic crisis. We are extremely pleased with the success and now humbly ask for your support in fund donations to help us with the continuation for this service. We are on a mission to make a difference in the lives of those in need within our community.
