Every Monday at 1:30pm, St Faith’s Church in Brentford opens its doors for our Community Fridge – a space where good food finds a good home! We collect surplus food from local shops, supermarkets and households – the kind of perfectly edible food that might otherwise go to waste. Instead, it’s shared freely with anyone who could use it. Whether you’re looking to stretch your weekly budget, reduce food waste, or just enjoy a warm welcome, you’re invited to come along. As well as picking up groceries, we’ll have the kettle on. Drop by for a cuppa, a biscuit, and a chat – no pressure, no forms, just neighbours helping neighbours. It’s about community as much as it is about food. We’re always looking for donations of good-quality surplus food – fruit and veg, bread, tins, packets and chilled items (within date). If you’ve got more than you need, why not share it with someone who’ll appreciate it? Together we can cut down waste and make sure good food goes where it belongs: on plates, not in bins. So whether you’re donating, collecting, or just curious, come and be part of it. The Community Fridge is for everyone – because food is better shared.
