Carpenters Café, started by some residents of Carpenters Estate and Trinity Chapel London. The project opened on 5th June 2007 initially as a feeding project targeting the homeless. However over the years, as a result of the current economic climate, we now support a wide variety of groups which include anyone needing a helping hand. We also receive and send referrals to other organizations to provide support. Carpenters Café main objectives are:- • To provide a dinning place that is warm, clean and friendly where people can come and sit, make friends and share a meal • To give free of charge, hot or cold drinks, sandwiches, fruit and vegetables and food packs subject to availability. • To share out household items, clothing, footwear, books, etc that have been donated to Carpenters Café for the benefit of the needy. • To offer support and encouragement with access to computer facilities for job search and basic IT training. • Volunteering services include distribution of advice and information leaflets on healthy eating and lifestyle, a foot pampering session on the last Tuesday of every month and art classes every other Tuesday. The service is delivered by a strong team of volunteers who are reliable and supportive of the charitable aims of the organisation and who share a desire to offer help and assistance to people. We are an all through school catering for children aged 4-18yrs in the heart of East London and we have been working with our families and wider community to make sure that they have been supported during the recent Covid pandemic. During lock down 1, the school community set up a fantastic food and toiletry store, filled completely by donations from staff and the local community. This has been running for nearly a year. Due to an increase in demand we are now running extremely low on many items. The school would like to reach out and let you know about our continuing work with families in our community, to ensure that they are not going without basic food, toiletries and shelter. This cause is very important to us and with your help we can make a difference to the the lives of our families and to others that are struggling in these unprecedented times. You can help to provide for our families who are in immediate need and to help with basic necessities. We all need food and shelter, and we all need hope too. Your help can provide all of this and more for families in the community who are having trouble covering expenses for basic needs. Thanks to our staff and small businesses in the area we have been able to provide families with basic needs. We are asking you to join our efforts to enable us to reach out to more families that are in need now and in the future. Your involvement will make such a big difference to the lives of our families. We are asking if you can help with food and toiletry items, or funding to help with living costs such as rent and utility bills. With your help and support we can begin to solve the challenges faced by our families and make life a better place for them. Our families would welcome your support.

Newham Detached Youth Services supports young people to develop their social and emotional learning, in order for them to be the best version of themselves. We do this by supporting young people in developing the relevant skills so that they are able to support themselves are able to give back to the community. We work within local parks, estates, schools, the local community and places and spaces that you may find young people.
