How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Kazzum Arts Project

London, UK

Kazzum Arts uses creativity to enable children and young people who have been impacted by trauma and adversity to feel seen, heard and valued. We do this by providing opportunities to explore creative expression and agency through multidisciplinary arts activities. We work with young people who have experienced high levels of Adverse Childhood Experiences which have resulted in social, emotional and mental health issues, communication needs, disabilities, exclusion and displacement. Our programmes use creative activities as a means of building confidence, communication skills, creativity and engagement in learning, whilst also helping children and young people to develop healthy relationships with others and the world around them. Our programmes have been developed in consultation with young people and are delivered by a diverse team of skilled artist facilitators in partnership with a range of spaces including schools, hospitals, and community settings. We think imaginatively and compassionately about the worlds of young people, using creativity to make memorable experiences that last well beyond childhood. We are looking for surplus food donations for our create group run from Oxford House in Bethnal Green, which supports refugee, asylum seeking and migrant men's mental health and wellbeing through creative activities. All food donations received via Neighbourly will be provided for free to our participants

Christ Church CofE primary school Bricklane

London, UK

Living in a severely deprived community we have a significant number of children who come from low income families living in overcrowded conditions and below the breadline. Many of our parents frequent the local food bank and rely on government food packs to feed their children. Pupils come to school hungry and unable to focus in class due to fatigue and poor health thus affecting their progress academically as members of staff are having to discreetly take children out of class to offer breakfast and snacks. Breakfast club is a lifeline for many and a comfort in these unprecedented times. We are a primary school in the heart of Brick Lane London E1 We help our pupil premium families with low income and families in hardship and financial difficulties as well as supporting our breakfast club and after school tea time club We help families and students at our school. We identify families in need who are pupil premium and on low income. We need help with food parcels, activities for children such as tutoring, sports and SEND support- for pupils and parents/carers We do not charge for any food parcels.

Caring 4 Angels

London, UK

Caring 4 Angels is a non profit organisation set up to offer support and kindness to anyone who has shown kindness to others such as; nurses, carers, key-workers, or anyone who deserves recognition for helping people. Our vision is provide a platform where the public can show their appreciation and offer acts of kindness for kindness. We also want to surprise and brighten up many vulnerable and elderly people's day with a small gift to lift their moods and reduce the possibility of loneliness and isolation. Together, we can make people smile. We have a group of volunteers who selflessly give their time to help us surprise our nominees with a range of different gifts from flowers and pamper gifts, to stays in hotels for our hard-working key workers who need a well-deserved rest! We are looking for stores to allow us to come and do a bucket collection to raise funds to purchase items for our angels care packages that we give out. We're also looking for businesses to donate items that we can gift as well. These can be any of the following; Bath sets Gifts sets Handbags & backpacks Hampers Vouchers & discount codes Clothes Toys Glassware/tableware Gadgets
