We have been providing food and support for our catchment area as well as asylum seekers within Camden since the beginning of covid. There has been an increased need for support during this time due to the terrible challenges covid has inevitably bestowed upon us. We would like to be able to continue this support as long as the need is there

Roundhouse is a music and arts venue in Camden. Since the 1960s we’ve opened up space for creativity to empower people and communities – day in, night out. We’re on a mission to raise the creative potential of the UK so we give young people and artists the space to experiment, develop skills and be part of incredible moments that go down in history The Roundhouse is an arts organisation providing creative opportunities to young people 11-30. Young creatives can access subsidised rehearsal spaces, workshops, masterclasses, professional coaching and performance opportunities. Roundhouse also engages with schools and communities with outreach to vulnerable communities and has recently been recognised as a Theatre of Sanctuary. The young people we engage with are supported by a dedicated team of Youth Workers and we provide financial support to help with studio costs, travel expenses, materials and course costs for young people who experience financial barriers to participation. Our charitable work is supported by a dedicated team of over 150 volunteers who help out at our gigs and events on evenings and weekends. Our volunteers make a huge contribution to the organisation by donating on average 10,000 hours in 2025. We are looking to regularly collect surplus sandwiches, snacks and on-the-go foods to feed our volunteer team whilst they help out at evening events. We are keen to make sure volunteering is as accessible as possible during the cost-of-living crisis and surplus food donations would help remove some of the financial barriers to volunteering and enjoying the arts.

We run a surplus foodbank in Somers Town in the borough of Camden in London. All thanks to 50 local volunteers who help us to support 80 local households, 11 hostels, 1 after-school club and 1 church group. We are supporting just over 125 children now living in poverty. We do this by collecting surplus from 45 local stores every week and redistributing them in a timely manner all thanks to each volunteer commiting to a regular shift weekly/ alternate weeks. Collections are made by bicycle using hitch on/off trailers, by foot using hand carts and some volunteers use their cars for those big collections and drop-offs to big hostels. We also operate a 'Room of thing's where local households that we support can take anything they need from. Items are donated by local businesses and people. There isn't much we can't find a home for. In our small courtyard we also have a surplus cart where people passing by can take what they need. This is about supporting local people whilst also being a part of a circular reuse mode. Our volunteers support us with so much more, from helping local residents with their CVs, mentoring, sewing surplus food bags from textile waste, running a monthly free clothing swap and more. Our project is person centred, each volunteer has something meaningful to offer a local person; this is where community happens. We are just a team of 2 and are BAME-Led. Our work with Neighbourly is a key part to be able to support local people.
