How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Set up at the beginning of the pandemic, this local charitable association has a data base of over 190 volunteers who regularly arrange food shopping, pick up meds, make weekly wellbeing calls, arrange virtual social events to deliver to people in their homes. This is a legacy organisation that will be there after Covid to continue to support people in the area who need it the most by deploying a highly motivated volunteer bank to help keep people safe, supported and valued in these strange times
