Camberley, UK

We offer free hot meals and a safe place for people who are homeless, lonely or in need. Open seven nights a week from 10pm to 8am during November to May Dinner served at 10.30pm, breakfast served at 7.am Summer opening 7pm to 10pm most nights (no overnights) An opportunity to respond to the increasing homeless issue and our response to support folk of all ages locally. We set up originally in 2015 as a winter project, since then the demand has been incredible and we daily feed around 25 customers and provide a warm, safe place to be. The cafe' is run totally through the generosity and investment in time of local supporters and a team of around 40 volunteers.

Old Dean, Camberley is a recognised area of multiple deprivation with issues around poverty, health outcomes, and disability. Lack of Education, Training and Skills is a very substantial issue with the area in the worst 10% in the country. Old Dean Community Group CIO runs: - a Food Bank to relieve poverty which is open access, and also provides food education. provides support and guidance services - a Youth Club for local children (Club Dean) which aims to change life opportunities. N.B. Please note that we migrated our charity structure to a CIO at the end of 2024. . The new charity name is Old Dean Community Group CIO Registered Number 1211270 and the former charity Old Dean Community Group 2018 is now a closed charity and shown as such on the Charity Commission website.
