Open Arms Organisation CIC is a non-profit organisation, through food, we advocate promoting social gaps, fostering, interaction, and improving community cohesion among different people through our dedicated platforms geared towards poverty alleviation, skills acquisition and social interaction. We are a grassroots organisation addressing poverty and hunger and social inequality in all its guises. Panic buying and Covid 19 has disrupted our provisions dramatically. We have put some contingency plans in place for the elderly how we get out to them, as well as those in need. Food and financial donations have slowed down - donations are crucial. Our strategy for food parcels, collection and deliveries are affected as we can no longer bulk buy when needed due to the nation's concern over the spread of the virus and lockdown of services. Last week ending 18/4 we sent out 150 parcels to individuals and families, spending on average £100 daily Please help us reach the most vulnerable in our area

By providing access to nutritious food and the opportunity to learn valuable cooking skills, we aim to foster greater food security and resilience in our community. The Bridge Notts is dedicated to delivering initiatives like our breakfast clubs, which bring warmth, nourishment, and connection to elderly residents in Nottingham’s independent living schemes. Additionally, our Munch Clubs provide a welcoming hub for families, offering them a comfortable, warm space where they can enjoy a free or low-cost nutritious meal together. To keep these vital programmes running, we rely on generous food donations from local businesses, organisations, and individuals. These contributions are essential to ensure we have a steady supply of ingredients to serve our community and to expand our reach to even more families and individuals facing food insecurity. With your support, we can continue making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most, creating a more connected and resilient Nottinghamshire. In addition to food donations, we welcome volunteers to help with preparing, cooking, and serving meals. Financial contributions are also valuable to fund the purchase of staple ingredients, cover operational costs, and maintain our facilities. Together, we can work towards a community where everyone has access to healthy food and the skills to make the most of it.
