We deliver hot ready to eat two course meals to people who are unable to cook a meal for themselves. This includes people discharged from hospital, also people with dementia or physical illness which prevents them cooking at home. Menus which change weekly are sent to clients who choose their meals from a selection of traditional English food or other items such as curry, pasta, salads etc. Clients can choose Puddings, cheese, fruit or ice cream for dessert. We cater for all food allergies. Clients do not need to be referred, and we can start deliveries with one days notice. Please phone us at 01935422243 if you wish us to send you a menu either a paper copy or by email. From our premises in South Street, Yeovil we also run a free food distribution service, donated food is available every weekday from 8.00am and some Sundays. From 10.00am. Food is free of any charge and is on a first come basis, however we ask that you do not take more than you need and can reasonably consume. We do not reserve food except in exceptional circumstances. We can only give away what we collect so quantities may vary. Please bring your own bags. Please be respectful of other. All food is free of charge.

The Vale Family Hub & Pantry

The Vale Family Hub started as the Vale Pantry back in 2020. Working with the most disadvantaged families, providing a wide range of affordable food was simply where work started. Our real mission has always been to uncover the underlying issues behind food poverty and work to heal each household find the right help and support and get them to a better place in life. In 2023, we took the bold decision to expand, find larger premises, and operate a Family Hub in order to provide a wider range of hands-on services. In March 2025, our Vale Family Hub opened. It encompasses our Pantry, but also offers soft play, a Cafe, and the space to sit down with families and really help in so many ways. We now offer over 30 activities and sources of help from Debt & Welfare, Early Help, Parenting Support, Toddler Play Activities, SEND Support, Domestic Abuse Support, Substance Misuse, Budgeting, Cookery Education and so much more. The Hub is a happy thriving, warm and welcoming space where people come together, problems can be solved, help is always at hand. Open 6 days a week.
