Sainsbury's Waterlooville

The principal purpose of Care and Share Waterlooville is the provision of food and help packages to people in need. The main area of operation will be to support the residents of Waterlooville and the surrounding villages and towns within a 15 mile radius. However, at the Group’s discretion, residents from outside of this area may be supported. We do not ask for a referral to access our services, we take people at their word. We rely on in-date food donations from local supporters and are always happy for donations to be dropped off into our donations trolley in the entrance of Sacred Heart Church, London Road, Waterlooville PO7 7SR or into the porch at 41 Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville PO7 7LA.

We are a community food pantry. For every member who pays £5 they will choose £15-20 shopping once a week. Are funding is limited so we are reaching out to secure donations.

We are a non profit charitable organisation that gives away fresh food to our community. We also deliver 80% of the food we collect to local homeless shelters and assisted living accomodations. We run meet up groups for all to encourage socialisation, inclusion and reduce isolation. We have recently won the 'Action Hampsire's SOUP' April 2024. We currently run from our charity shop which has a 5 star good hygiene rating. We have been promoted by word of mouth and we currently have around 1000 members. We are running on a Facebook page, have a website you can view and are linked to social prescribers from local doctors surgery's within Hampshire so we can refer people on for additional support. We currently collect the surplus food through Fareshare and now neighbourly and hope to expand to items other than food also. We are linked to many charities and organisations such as the local Salvation Army, Two saints, Cogs and SSJ. We are always looking for new organisations and charities with which to work with. We are always looking for more organisations to help out so we can grow bigger and help more people. We work closely with the local job centres, citizens advice and community support policing team.
