Looprun is a response division and part of an independent social enterprise. This is more than food and is part of a supportive services platform to help people get sustained in their own individual way. With up to 94% success rate and seeing once those receiving free Looprun response bags to returning to stores as shoppers with baskets full. These are the impact stories created when all come together to do good for good. Service users are signposted to Looprun mostly from referrals including professionals in social and healthcare. Looprun provides free non perishables, perishable food, toiletries, and brand new clothing to people facing a temporary challenge. Whatever supermarkets, stores, and retailers can do is turned into a grateful donation to a neighbour in need. This is a response to real people in real-time. No food is banked providing a direct in and out service. We believe if the food is stored then a person in need is not getting any food, hence we provide an instant response and instant impact service. Looprun has access to professional volunteers who carry out a confidential support service to people in need. From homeless shelters, hostels, sheltered housing, care homes, soup kitchens and schools. This is a non voucher, free and confidential service. This means Looprun can reach more people in need with food donations. Anyone that receives a Looprun bag of essential food items is sustained thus creating a loop cycle. Our community fridge is stocked on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, we help stop food waste from our local Aldi buy collecting food and filling up our comminuty pantry, which includes a small fridge, freezer and pantry shelves, we collec items such as veggies, bread, cake and lots more food items. The pantry is looked after by the staff at Greenaces Communtiy centre and checked daily. The pantry is open to all 7 days a week, it is in our enterance way, and people can take as they wish (no cost) most people who use our fridge and pantry are visitors of the community centre, we have lots of groups here so are always busy. Here are some of our groups. - Children/young people youth clubs - Playgroup - Elderly/old people - Over 50's keep fit - Lunch Club - Socialising arts club - People with disabilities - Chilren and parent sessions Greenacres Community centre is a great place where local people can come ofr advice, help, guidnece and socialisation it's a place for the community and local residents to enjoy, get help, join a group, take from the community pantry and much more..

Breaking the waves foundation (BTWF)was founded in November 2020 after our founder had been assisting residents of Failsworth with food parcels, non essential food items and preloved clothing and toys since the beginning of COVID-19. Due to the demand we have now set up BTWF and are currently supporting families on a weekly basis. We also provided those families in financial hardship with gift parcels for their children to open on Christmas Day, this was with the support of Axiom and local community groups. We wish to expand and not have to decline any request for support and the only way we can do this is by having continued and regular support from local businesses. We therefore would consider gifted items of food and toiletries. Thank you
