We support families within the BB postcodes, offering various forms of help through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Founded in 2011 by Michelle Bromley. Snowdrop Doula Community Interest Company provides antenatal, birth and postnatal support in Lancashire. Working from various hubs, we provide continuous one to one and group support for families throughout the pregnancy and postnatal period. We work with other local services and organisations as and when needed.

Age UK Lancashire Living Well Support Service Pennine Food Bank

To provide a hospital-based out-of-hours food bank to facilitate nighttime and weekends when others are closed. I work for Age UK Lancashire, and I am based in the ICAT office at Burnley Hospital with the District Nurses, Intensive Home Support Services, ICAT, INT, and Home First staff. Age UK Lancashire supports patients on discharge, and we have found so many in need of support. I created our food bank, as I found that it was impossible to find a food parcel out of hours and on the weekends - there is no provision available. If there is a bank holiday, this means that if a patient goes home on a Friday night, they cannot get a food parcel until Tuesday. My food bank was created to bridge this gap and is used regularly. Staff on the ward donate, and I have had bake sales to raise money, but we are getting to the point now where we need a regular donation to survive and run this much-needed service.
