We are a community outreach group in Tyrone and we aid our local residents by giving them support with food, clothing and advice. We would love to have your support regarding any of the above. Our group has been active in volunteering now for nearly seven years. I am writing a book of memoirs about the homeless people that I've met over the years and hope to find a publishing company that will publish it free of charge, as I want all sales to go to the Belfast homeless services, as they are the real heroes. Crossfire Trust is a charitable trust operating on a cross community and cross border basis within the South Armagh area. It operates from an established base at Darkley House which is recognised as being an environment of mutual respect, hope and support for all sections of the community. Its aim is to build a more peaceful and harmonise society and provide ongoing support within the local community. We do this by providing supported accommodation and community services e.g. laundrette, food share, charity shop, events, trips, Sunday lunch, counsel and support. We want to care for people giving a hand up rather than a hand out and together we proceed to a better place of understanding each other and growing together. The property sits comfortably on the hillside at Darkley and the gardens are used for recreation, therapeutic programmes and the location for the public concert or community open days.
