Our objects are: • To relieve poverty among residents • To advance education among residents • To promote and/or provide training in skills of all kinds particularly to assist individuals in obtaining paid employment • To promote, establish and operate other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community • To relieve those in financial hardship, suffering discrimination by encouraging inward investment and business start-ups to take place • To be a good local employer giving back to the community where we can • To influence social and economic development policy (and practice) particularly within SIMD areas Our main activities include; Training and Employability Skills of adults and young people, Diversionary activities for young people at risk, Isolation project for single parents and impoverished families, Community empowerment, Crisis support, People's Pantry, Business start up support for the unemployed, Provide affordable business space to new business in socially deprived areas. We are currently responding to the Covid-19 Crisis by offering an emergency free food delivery and free People's Pantry service specifically to our local Benarty area in Fife. Brag works across all age groups with a specific geographical area of central Fife in Scotland. We concentrate our efforts in the top ten SIMD sites within Fife ie Levenmouth, Cowdenbeath, Kirkcaldy which are traditionally ex industrial/coalfield areas. We also focus on individuals that have multiple barriers and provide a broad offer to improving the economic prospects in that area.

Inverkeithing Trust is a Scottish charity that aims to develop and manage community initiatives and projects for the people of Inverkeithing. For example, projects that improve health & wellbeing, the environment through biodiversity projects to improve the quality of derelict or green spaces in the town, arts and culture projects etc etc. Our aim is to build a strong, vibrant community by increasing our membership and working with other local groups and schools on various projects. Membership of Inverkeithing Trust is free to anyone who lives in Inverkeithing and is aged 16 years or over. Our Trust projects include resurrecting the town's garden competition and annual flower show; re-wilding suitable derelict or grassed areas in the town to increase biodiversity; working with the local authority and other local groups on various improvement projects eg the town centre regeneration and future refurbishment of our ancient Friary, gardens and children's play area, etc. Our 'Food for Thought' Community Shop & Cafe is also one of the Trust's projects. It was set up in 2020 as a community pantry in response to Covid and became a shop & cafe in October 2022. It runs weekly every Wednesday from a Fife Council owned community centre at Ballast Bank, Inverkeithing. It is part of the FareShare Scotland scheme that redistributes surplus food from supermarkets and the food industry to communities and stops it being dumped as landfill, whilst helping people in need. Food for Thought is open to every Inverkeithing family and resident. Food bags are sold @ £6 per bag or donation. They are amazing value for money. In practice those who can afford it will make a donation on top of the £6, which helps to subsidise those customers who are less able or unable to pay sometimes. The ethos is 'dignity through choice' and everyone comes in on an equal basis, no matter their personal circumstances. Demand is steady as the times we're living in are still extremely hard for some of our customers. Food for Thought has become a much valued and appreciated social hub in our community and Trust volunteers are determined to ensure it remains viable and sustainable so that it’s available to help everyone who needs or wants it in our Inverkeithing community for the foreseeable future. In 2024 we aim to open a monthly pop-up cafe at weekends to fill a gap for the many users of the Fife coastal path, which runs past our centre. Fife Council has now replaced the ancient kitchen in the centre to achieve this and we are currently working to get the weekend cafe up and running.

We are a primary school in the Cowdenbeath area and we are keen to support any of our families who are struggling to make ends meet, or who would benefit from a food parcel. We have supported families in this way before, and this would allow us to continue supporting families we had built relationships with.
