How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Supporting women and children in refuge to live safer and happier lives.

Nottingham, UK

At Nottingham Central Women's Aid, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for women and children escaping domestic abusers. We offer secure, temporary accommodation and comprehensive support services, for women with or without children who have endured any form of abuse, including physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, or economic as well as so-called "honour" based violence and female genital mutilation (FGM). We provide a secure environment where women and children can find immediate refuge and safety from abusers. We offer emotional and psychological assistance to help women rebuild their lives. We welcome women and children from all backgrounds, ensuring that every individual receives the care and support they need. Over the years, Nottingham Central Women's Aid has accommodated thousands of women and children. We have been a cornerstone in helping families recover and heal from the harm of domestic abuse and a core support in enabling them to rebuild their lives in a safe and nurturing environment. Continuous support is crucial for the sustainability of our refuge accommodation and community services. Whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or other means, your involvement can make a significant difference. By supporting Nottingham Central Women's Aid, you are playing a vital role in empowering women and children to live lives free from fear and abuse.
