We offer a lifeline to people who homeless or insecurely housed in the Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton areas. Through supported housing, health & wellbeing services and community outreach, we help vulnerable members of our community feel empowered to transform their lives. We provide a total of 125 bed spaces across our accommodation sites. In 2024-25 we supported over 1,000 people across our services. Our History St Richard of Chichester Christian Care Association (CCA) was formed in 1989 following a sermon given by the Reverend Hilary Parsons concerning the death of an ex-Graylingwell patient in a public toilet in Chichester, West Sussex. The Association was registered as a charity in 1991 (St Richard of Chichester Christian Care Association, charity no 1000830) and also as a Company Limited by Guarantee (company no 2504171). Over the years the original aims have been built upon and new services have been developed and managed by CCA. By offering shelter, information and support, Stonepillow empowers homeless and vulnerable individuals to make positive changes in their lives. We aim to create an environment that promotes social inclusion with practical assistance and without prejudice for all.

UKHarvest is a leading environmental and social impact charity dedicated to preventing food waste and food insecurity. By enriching and educating our communities we help nurture those most food insecure, to live well, age well and to help combat social isolation. From our food rescue operation to our education programmes, to our award winning Nourish Hub, every initiative we offer brings people together for the most meaningful impact. We collect perishable food from places like supermarkets, hotels, wholesalers, farmers, stadiums, catering companies, shopping centres, cafes and more, delivering it for free to charities and individuals throughout the UK. We use the food as a medium to engage communities and teach people to reduce household food waste so everyone can join our mission!

To create a thriving and sustainable community for the benefit of all who live, work and study in the area. the aims are to: i) facilitate the creation of a strong and vibrant community ii) encourage a low carbon lifestyle amongst residents iii) promote and support training, education & economic development activity iv) own, maintain and effectively manage endowed community land and buildings CCDT owns and manages community buildings including: The Pavilion, Chichester The Chapel at Graylingwell Park The Community Hall, Roussillon Park The Water Tower, Graylingwell Park The Lodge, Keepers Green Havenstoke Park Keepers Green community cricket pitch Whilst we host a fantastic UK Harvest pop-up pantry on a Friday afternoon at The Pavilion which provides incredible support to local residents we are looking for additional surplus food sources to stock our community fridge that will provide smaller volumes of food to sustain households in between access to the Friday pantries. This will be accessible to all within the Pavilion, Chichester and will support individuals and families through the challenging months ahead. We have used funding from Hubbub to purchase a fridge and some shelving and are currently stocking it with small amounts of food waste from our own cafes and where possible buying small amounts of food but this is not sustainable. We need a more reliable food supply. Additional surplus food would enable us to provide free hot meals in The Chapel for families facing deprivation. Both for young families - parents and their pre-school children - on a Monday night as part of our 'Stories and Supper' and for our youth music programme on a Friday night offering young people aged 16-25 year olds an opportunity to play and listen to live music. We do not currently receive surplus food from any other organisations and are mindful of the great amount of work that can be done for the immediate community should we secure a supply from somewhere. We have a resourceful kitchen staff and team of volunteers ready at hand to facilitate making any food produce that we could receive go as far as possible to help those who need it most. CCDT is working as part of the Chichester District Council 'Supporting You' campaign and has multiple avenues through which to advise those in greatest need of the provision of cupboard stores and prepared meals should we receive the surplus goods.
