We will host meals, using food that would otherwise go to waste and invite all local people to attend and eat together in the hope that friendships are made and community is built. We run a community cafe and we will also use the food to offer, Pay as you Feel meals to the less well off.

Wickford Foodbank at The Salvation Army
Wickford, UK
Wickford Foodbank is hosted by The Salvation Army in Wickford, and has been set up independently as the town's Foodbank on behalf of Wickford Churches Working Together. The Foodbank opens every week on a Thursday morning at 10am. Those registering for the first time come at 11am. We are dependent on donations of food from local churches, local schools, voluntary organisations and local businesses. We are also registered to collect and redistribute end of day produce from local food stores. Food may be donated at several food donation points in Wickford High Street including: Wickford Town Council office Wickford Town Council Office, Halls Corner Temme English office, Wickford High Street MD Care, Lower Southend Road Coop Funeral Care office, Wickford High Street Quick Fix garage, Runwell Road Coop St Lukes Park Costcutter, Shotgate Wickford Town Football Club, Rawreth Donations can also be dropped off at The Salvation Army kitchen door on a Wednesday between 2-3pm.
