Giving Hands

Brierley Hill, UK

For the past eleven (11) years, we have been helping the homeless and rough sleepers, the poor and needy, those with severe debt problems, those leaving hostels and rehab centres, those with health problems, the socially isolated, those fleeing domestic violence, those having severe depression, the underprivileged and disadvantaged, and all those within our reach whose lives are a struggle due to the hardship that they face daily. As part of our core values, we are committed to improving the quality of life of people irrespective of religion, race, gender, age and sexual orientation. We have been experiencing a significant increase in the number of our service users; individuals and families facing severe hardship and deprivation. We have been providing them with fresh food items, fruits, groceries, frozen food and toiletries. For the elderly, we prepared, package and deliver food items, meals and other essential items to their doorstep. Our service users continue to receive from our clothes bank facility; clothing for their families and school uniform for their children of primary school age. For the homeless we provide warm clothing, warm food and meals, sleeping bags including advisory services helping them get an accommodation. We have been on the frontline for eleven years now, helping to tackle severe deprivation and hardship in our local community. As at December 2025, we have supported over 13,550 people. With 48% over the age of 65. In addition, in the year 2025, we prevented 21 households from being made homeless, totalling 84 people. The percentage of people supported; Female 59%, Male 31%.
