Bloom and Rise CIC

Dunfermline, UK

Bloom and Rise CIC empowers Africans in the community to flourish by improving wellbeing, strengthening identity, and creating economic opportunities through culture‑led support, enterprise, education, and community‑based services. Bloom and Rise CIC exists to help African individuals, families, and communities grow, thrive, and feel rooted within their local environment. The organisation provides culturally grounded support that strengthens confidence, belonging, and community resilience. Through an integrated model—combining consultancy, food and creative enterprises, publishing, and future community café development—Bloom and Rise creates safe, inspiring spaces where people can access support, express culture, build skills, and generate income. Bloom and Rise champions the voices and experiences of Africans in the community, recognising their strengths, histories, and contributions. The CIC works to reduce isolation, improve mental and emotional wellbeing, and equip people with practical tools to navigate life in the UK. By offering community-focused consultancy, Bloom and Rise collaborates with organisations and services to promote culturally competent practice and better outcomes for African families. The enterprise arm—rooted in baking, catering, and culturally inspired foods—serves both as a celebration of heritage and as a platform for training, job creation, and entrepreneurship. As the CIC grows, the planned café space will become a social hub where culture, learning, and community meet. Bloom and Rise also nurtures creativity and storytelling through a publishing channel that encourages African writers, especially women and young people, to share their experiences and build confidence through expression. At its core, Bloom and Rise CIC is committed to uplifting Africans in the community by nurturing identity, fostering empowerment, and creating pathways to economic independence. The CIC believes that when individuals bloom—personally, culturally, and professionally—the entire community rises.
