The Prospects Foundation is a community-led environmental charity that has been working in Hyndburn (East Lancashire) for over 25 years. Based in Accrington, on average, we work with over 500 people from 80 local groups and organisations each year. Our areas of work include, Biodiversity, Local Food, Energy, Recycling, Sustainable Transport and Environmental Awareness. We currently run practical conservation volunteering sessions each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on public land across the district. We also run training and workshops from our offices on Broadway in Accrington and our training centre in nearby Oakhill Park. All our work has to fit within our themes of sustainability which are Biodiversity, Local Food, Renewable Energy, Recycling, Sustainable Transport and Environmental Awareness.
