Clean Up Peterborough

We provide support to new and existing groups to keep local environments in Peterborough clear of litter and fly tipping, building on our own well-established litter picking experience. The support includes equipment, organising litter picks, safety and risk assessment, contacts with other groups and Council officials, routes to attract volunteers, and access to insurance cover. We organise litter picks for local businesses who want to clean up the environment as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity. We manage the Peterborough Litter Wombles Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/peterboroughlitterwombles/ and website https://peterboroughwomble.wixsite.com/wombles to support these activities We are working closely with the council to clear some of the places where litter has accumulated over many years such as along Peterborough's wide network of footpaths and cyceways, as well as in neglected areas of parks and vegetation belts.
