The Lancashire Wildlife Trust -Westleigh Brook Project
Leigh, UK
Lancashire Wildlife Trust is the lead partner of the Carbon Landscape Partnership. We are working with Friends groups throughout the Great Manchester Wetlands Area (Wigan, Salford and the Mersey Corridor in Warrington) to improve wildlife habitats. For the past 14 months we have been working with communities in Leigh to improve access to Pennington Flash for people with physical disabilities from Leigh Sports Village. The project aims to improve the habitats along the route known as the Lunchtime Loop for the nationally rare Willow Tit by clearing rubbish and creating breeding areas for the red listed bird.
