Help Friends of Thornton Heath to improve their Community Garden

Thornton Heath Community Garden is a beautiful place for the Thornton community. We grow vegetables and flowers in the south west corner of the rec by the bowling club. We are passionate about keeping it a place all of the community can use to learn, relax and enjoy. We are going to improve this thriving community garden by raising the existing beds before mulching and replanting them, using plants kindly donated from this year's Hampton Court Flower Show! You'll also have the chance to meet existing local volunteers from The Friends of Thornton Heath group. Refreshments including tea, coffee etc. will be provided on-site all day, but you should bring your own lunch if possible. Alternatively there are shops nearby where you can buy lunch if you wish. All tools and materials will be provided, along with any necessary extras such as gloves, though we recommend dressing appropriately for a day outdoors.
