Established in 1960, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is a leading nature conservation charity in our two counties. We look after more than 50 nature reserves, creating a growing network of wildlife havens. We are the voice for wildlife and wild places with government, local authorities, and others. We use our experience, evidence, and expertise to help shape decisions and get the best results for wildlife. We inspire people to love nature and offer hundreds of events, activities and classes throughout the year, giving people of all ages the chance to experience and learn about our incredible natural treasures. Our vision is for a wilder Hampshire and Isle of Wight. We want nature’s recovery to be at the forefront of tackling the climate crisis. We want broken ecosystems to be restored and missing wildlife to return. We want people to benefit from a healthy natural environment. We want great places to live that are good for people and good for wildlife. We are on a mission to build a movement for change. Our work focuses on achieving our connected goals of more people on nature’s side, more space for wildlife to thrive and reduced pressure on the environment everywhere else.
