Surrey Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. With the invaluable support of volunteers and members we manage over 4% of Surrey's land for the benefit of wildlife and local communities. We also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live. As Sir David Attenborough said, "Surrey Wildlife Trust's work inspiring people to love nature has never been more important. If we are to protect nature in the future we have to put people at the heart of it". We are committed to restoring nature across the county and are working to empower local communities to care for potential areas for wildlife near where they live - offering training, tools and support wherever possible. Education continues to play a vital role in our activities and we host thousands of children at our education centres as well as visiting schools ourselves, supporting and training teachers and offering advice on how schools can create or improve areas for wildlife within their grounds. We are supported by our members, Trusts and corporates and encourage businesses to get involved whatever their size.
