258th Birmingham St Anne's Scout Group
Birmingham, UK
As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We have a safe and friendly meeting place for young people from within the local area, allowing them to learn new skills, learn respect for the communities in which we live, and we invest in the growth of the individuals. We like to promote a positive outlook in life and allow access to new skills that would necessarily be available to our young people. The aims are to increase positive interactions between young people in our area, divert youths away from criminality, gang culture, and involve the children in crime reduction initiatives by giving them a safe and secure space to meet and learn life skills from positive community role models, thus helping them to develop trust and confidence in society as they grow to become adults. Through our upcoming community projects within 2019 we will be taking part in numerous local litter picks, helping our young people to understand their environmental responsibilities and helping to keep the local community clean and tidy.
