TK Maxx Ballymena

Ulster Wildlife, est. in 1978, is a local nature conservation charity which works to ensure that wildlife has a future in Northern Ireland. We work with local people to secure space for nature in our countryside, towns, coastlines and seas. Our work is guided by two key themes of Living Landscapes and Living Seas and we have undertaken a broad range of environmental work from establishing and maintaining our 18 nature reserves to increasing barn owl populations, delivering environmental education programmes and campaigning for a NI Marine Act. All our work is aligned with our strategic goals to: • Inspire people to champion wildlife and value nature • Protect and restore habitats and ecosystems through practical action and research • Stand up for nature by influencing government policy • Promote health and well-being through enjoyment of the natural environment • Grow our success and extend our reach. Thanks to Neighbourly / TK Maxx and Homesense Environmental Grant we will be carrying out a community clean up at our urban nature reserve, Bog Meadows in Belfast along with beach / coastline clean ups at Rathlin Island and the Copeland Islands.
