ELGT's mission is to provide everyone in Edinburgh and the Lothians with access to quality greenspaces, which can help to improve their health & wellbeing. We work to promote and improve greenspaces by carrying out projects of all sizes, from planting brand-new parks and woodlands to establishing small community gardens. Our projects are designed to benefit people, wildlife, landscape and heritage. Central to our work is promoting outdoor activities to encourage and inspire people to use their outdoor spaces to discover for themselves the many opportunities and possibilities lying on their doorstep. We work in partnership with local organisations to help them incorporate outdoor activities into their own work.
