Plastic pollution is everywhere - from our local park to the oceans of the world. And everywhere it's killing wildlife, spoiling our environment and potentially harming our health. Plastic Free Faversham are a team of people who have joined together with the aim of inspiring and supporting the people in their community to buy less plastic and reduce and recycle more of it. We campaign and organise events within all sectors of the community, from the very young to the very old. We also work with businesses and the council to bring about lasting and significant change that will benefit everyone. We are looking for funding for our next big community event - Challenge Week 2019. This is a fun challenge in which individuals, families, schools and businesses pledge to give up some of the single use plastic items that they usually buy. Last year's event was a fabulous success and inspired the community to look differently at what they throw away and make changes, big and small, to do their part in combating the tide of plastic pollution. We hope that this year's Challenge Week will inspire even more people and lead to a greener, cleaner environment for us all.
