Litter - there's nothing about it that's positive. The RSPCA get 5000 calls a year about animals who have been injured by or ingested it, local authorities spend £3 million A DAY cleaning it from our streets and parks, it's escaping into our oceans and most of it is throwaway plastic of one type of another. Clean Up Britain (CLUB) is the leading national anti-litter behavioural change organisation and we're currently running the most comprehensive and sustained behavioural change campaign ever undertaken in the UK. It is a two year programme taking place in Leamington, in the West Midlands. We are exploring and 'incubating' new ideas, nudges, messages and social interventions to get people to stop dropping litter.
