18th Burton Scout group has been based In Stretton for over 50 years providing young people from 6 to 14 years old with fun, adventure, friendships and the ability to learn new skills that they can then use throughout their lives. Our current project is to improve our storage facility that holds all our camping and activity equipment, by doing this the equipment will remain in a usable condition for longer meaning we can spend more time on the adventurous activities for our young members and not fundraising to replace damaged equipment. We are looking to clear a patch of overgrown waste ground at the back of our current facility, level it and place an additional, secure storage unit on the site. This patch of waste ground has been used for dumping/hiding of rubbish for years and by us clearing it and making use of the area it will stop people fly tipping and improve the visual appearance of that space.
