The Friends of Woodcock Park
Harrow, UK
Our aim is to conserve, enhance and promote Woodcock Park for the benefit of all people, wildlife and flora and fauna. We want to greatly increase the safety of all park users from small children to the elderly and disabled and encourage the local community to take an interest in the protection, upkeep and enjoyment of the park. Our park is lucky enough to have a waterway that runs through the middle of it called The Wealdstone Brook. For many years the water has suffered pollution events from various causes and our fish have died. We are working with Brent Council to try and restore this neglected waterway and to run silt collecting sessions with the local schools to identify invertebrates living in the Wealdstone Brook
