Lidl Derby Chellaston

We are a pop up street kitchen who go Out into derby city centre 3 nights a week to help and support vulnerable And homeless people with hot meals packed lunches and essential items such as clothes, toiletries sleeping bags and tents. At present we are assisting both our visitors and other vulnerable families with food parcels. We deliver up to 100 parcels a week at present. Along with a community produce table that is set up for families to come and take items that they are in need of.

The Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance supports people in Derby who are experiencing food insecurity, through food provision, signposting, support and advice. We partner with 17 food-based projects, including 6 community shops, community pantries, and traditional food projects. We also work with 30 local community meal-based projects. Whilst we continue to meet the immediate need of food insecurity, our main focus is to support and signpost those accessing our services to tackle the root causes of their deprivation and poverty.

We are Clear Mind Derby - Community Interest Company. A voluntary led organisation, here to support adults living in Derby who are experiencing any of the following: Low to medium Mental Health needs Loneliness & Community isolation Poor / Unsafe living conditions We have a Community Outreach Service that is tailored to individuals needs and we support with: Home management, Life admin, application for Welfare Benefits, Befriending, Signposting and referral to other services. We are here to lighten the load, particularly were individuals are facing long waiting times for specialist medical and or mental health intervention. We also run a Community Cafe that is based in Alvaston, Derby. The cafe serves as a safe haven for individuals and families to access home made nutritious meals, connection, belonging and community spirit. We have trained and experienced volunteers that are on hand to support with mental health and wellbeing on our Outreach Service and within our Community Cafe. We also run Community events and workshops that are designed to bring the community together, reduce isolation and loneliness and provide opportunity for positive social interaction
