🌟 Towcester Community Fridge Free food. Friendly faces. Fighting loneliness. We collect short-dated food from local supermarkets and share it free with our community. Join us: Mon & Wed mornings: Tea & coffee from 8:30 am, food at 10 am Fri afternoons: Doors at 2:30 pm, food at 4 pm We help 35–45 families per session—around 400 people each week—and our pre-food chats are just as important as the food, building friendships and community spirit. Come for the food, stay for the community!

MK Community Fridge began as two fridges and one freezer located in the foyer of The Old Bath House Community Centre, Stratford Road, Wolverton. The project was launched on Saturday 1 July 2017 and to date it has shared more the equivalent of more than 4.2 million meals of food with the people of Milton Keynes The community fridge network in Milton Keynes is a growing group of independent organisations hosting community fridge sessions to reduce food waste and help communities supported by Sustainable MK. MK Community Fridge has inspired a pop-up cafes, cooking classes, hot meal provision and events all which encourage communities to bond and share resources that might otherwise be wasted. In February 2021 our network piloted Food Connect with Hubbub Foundation UK using electric vehicles and paid riders to collect food on behalf of community fridges in Milton Keynes. Working together has increased the amount of food that we can stop from being wasted and further lower our impact on the environment. It has also helped our community partners to support their projects, volunteers and lower costs for their venues ‘Yes, the fridge has impacted our household.
