On Wednesday 26th February you can find out how a Community Network Volunteer works. Meet Marie at Wythenshawe Amateurs Clubhouse M22 4US from 6pm till 8pm for some nibbles and an introduction to the role and responsibilities of a Community Network Volunteer. Working in an area of Wythenshawe you are familiar with, keeping older people on your radar, building your own network and resources, signposting to Later Life activity, encouraging local retailers, cafes, pubs, social clubs to get involved in street discussions about an Age Friendly Wythenshawe. Volunteers are well supported and can claim out of pocket expenses. Come along, and you could establish an effective network of support in your neighbourhood and contribute to a Wythenshawe that’s a great place to grow older.
