.Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton is an independent, local charity working with older people in Merseyside. We were founded by Eleanor Rathbone in 1928 (the first Age Concern type charity in the world) and recently received the “Freedom of the City of Liverpool” in recognition of our long history of charitable work with older people. Our mission is “To improve the quality of life of older people in Liverpool & Sefton”. Liverpool Reconnect is a new Befriending and Re-ablement Service giving people the opportunity to increase their independence, improve their confidence and overcome loneliness.
