Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn is one of the largest independent provider of services for people over 50 in Gwynedd and Anglesey. Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn empowers older people, and their families, in Gwynedd and Anglesey by providing a variety of support services in the language of their choice; with the end goal being the erosion of loneliness and to increase their emotional, physical and general wellbeing thus improving their quality of life. Our wide range of services promote well-being initiatives to assist people over 50 to live independently in their own homes, and to also be part of their community if they so wish. We offer information and advice and are regulated to offer personal care in the local community. Our services include: - Socialising opportunities - Lunch Clubs - Health and wellbeing activities - Information and Advice - Advocacy - Personal care - Day care - Shopping services - Charity shops - Cafes - Age well centres - Mens Shed project (Caernarfon area) As a charity we have been based at our new offices at Y Cartref Bontnewydd, on the outskirts of Caernarfon, since June 2017. This building in addition to housing our offices also provides various wellbeing activities, day care provision and a community Cafe. We have 4 charity shops in Caernarfon, Llangefni, Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog and the income we generate from the goods sold (and kindly donated by the public) goes towards funding our various services for local people.
