We are a charitable project run fully by volunteers with two specific goals; reducing food poverty and also reducing the amount of perfectly good food ending up on the landfill. We are based in the Harston Baptist church hall but we are not a religious group. The Food Hub has two separate sections that operate in different ways and have different aims. FOOD BANK Our self referral 'Food Bank' provides emergency food support to residents of Harston and the surrounding villages (mainly Hauxton, Foxton, Newton, Haslingfield, Barrington and Shepreth). It is part of a network of food banks that operate in South Cambridgeshire. Bags of non perishable food are made up using food donated to us or bought with money donated to us. Support from the food bank is intended to help people through a crisis. FRESH FOOD LARDER Our 'Fresh Food Larder' distributes fruit, vegetables, and bread and is part of an initiative that helps to avoid food waste. Donations of surplus stock are picked up from local supermarkets and farm shops by volunteers (often the night before we open) or brought in by local growers. Whilst much of the food is collected by people visiting the food bank, food from the fresh food larder is available to everyone no matter where they live or the circumstances they are in. Wilbury Community Forum has been running a free cafe for five and half years to bring local people together in a part of Letchworth that doesn't have cafes or pubs. Currently we offer a cuppa and cake, arts and crafts, good quality pre-loved school uniforms, likewise house hold goods and clothing to go and offer a free bike surgery. In a second hall we hold a family play session followed by a gentle exercise class. Offering free food released by supermarkets for community distribution will be an added benefit to us all.

We are a group of bikers and none bikers who feed the homeless.we also feed families in need , help to house homeless veterans .we cook bake and supply food to all of the above .we do an outreach of hot meals also for anyone needing food.no referrals needed.if your hungry and need help we supply it , no questions asked .we also have meals made up and deliver these on our bikes to people who live on the streets .we have been doing this for 6 years now in total .we have our own group 4seasonsoutreach on Facebook which shows all what we do and where we do it.we also deliver to the local hospital cancer wards of toiletries, Easter eggs, and Christmas presents for all the kids and teenagers.we collect donations and make sure none of it goes to waste.we have a local business that cooks meals for us and other cooks bakers who make food up for us for our outreach nights .Every Christmas day we’re out feeding the homeless families in need and the local hostels .Last year we set up at the local church and provided Christmas dinner for over 200 people .everyone deserves a Christmas dinner and not to be alone.we operate from Biggleswade .when we started it was word of mouth but this has now extended to where we have had many phone calls from social services , local hostels especially the meadows Sandy roundabout.we have in the past and still do occasionally supply furniture for people who have come out of hostels and from being homeless with furniture ..we usually get all the goods we need from Facebook .we have helped a few veterans out also and still provide a service for them when possible .our service is free of charge .we also collect tinned items from the co-op and what ever is donated by local people .Christmas just gone we collected a lot of food from M&S and it took 10 cars full to collect it all.this was Xmas even and we managed to get it all handed out to local families , hostels and anybody that needed it.we were still dropping off food at 11 pm at night until it all went .Everything we get it delivered and handed out on the night we collect .all of this is handed out and used to cook for our outreach .we also collect from the co-op and this is used to add to the food collected by M&S and also handed out at outreaches .everything that 4seasons is documented and put onto our Facebook group called 4seaonsoutreach.any body is welcome to join and can see some of the things we have been doing since we started up.we identify people as needing help through word of mouth , advertising and we often get referrals come through from other charities ,the council and even social services .as stated above there is no charge for anything that we do and we rely on donations of food surplus to keep us going .without the generosity of all these organisations we would not be able to do what we do.I hope this answers any questions people would like to know about us and should u require any more information plz email us a outreach1969@icloud.com
