Lidl Wolverhampton Fallings Park

We are a local Christian community project, who run Wolverhampton's main foodbank. We support city residents, plus some in the villages bordering the North of the city. We help families & single people in severe financial difficulties by delivering free food parcels to where they live. The parcels include both tinned/dried, fresh and frozen foods, as well as toiletries,household supplies,baby toiletries and pet food. Each parcel aims to provide 3 days of food to all in the household. We partner with statutory/voluntary agencies who assess/refer those in need. Sadly, the need for our service continues to grow. Pine Green Academy is a SEN Primary and Secondary School based in Whitmore Reans, supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Many of our pupils are from vulnerable families, with over 80% of our students receiving free schools meals, which is way above the national average of 14.3%. In the past 12 months our student intake has reached capacity, 125 student, we actively encourage our students to have new experiences that they may not have in their home environment. Donations received from the Neighbourly fund will help provided extra resources for our children to improve their life skills - e.g. a donation of paint will be used in painting and decorating room to help provide skills training for our young children, donations of plants/vegetables will be placed in our gardening area for children to nurture and grow, the food grown on site will then be given back to our families to help support the wider community. As a school with so many vulnerable children any donations received will be greatly appreciated and used in every which way to help support them in their future.

AHG Donations distributes food from shops, and restaurants to support those in need aswel as the local community. Surplus food is collected from supermarkets and restaurants. We have access to food products such as tins, dry food, chilled and frozen. Reducing food waste helps the planet and prevents tonnes of food being wasted each day when there is so many people in need. We believe that every person has a part to play in reducing food waste and looking after the planet.
