We are a local church that invites anyone in need to come along and collect food every Friday. We provide a safe space to come and have a coffee or tea and make friends in the community making it stronger and better. We have helped many families with food who would have not managed without us stepping in and helping. Everyone needs a helping hand at some point and people should never feel ashamed of that. We show love and care to the community around us.

The Open Heaven Church Pantry, run entirely by volunteers, officially opened in December 2020 and the church is a registered charity No 1123352. It aims to help local families in need, relieving and helping to prevent poverty by means of food provision and is a franchise of the national Your Local Pantry network. Our Pantry is a membership-based food club and sources its food from supermarket surplus and donations to help local people struggling to meet their bills for as long as they need help. Our members, currently just over 100, can visit the Pantry once a week for a fee of £5.50. This enables them to choose food items to the value of around £15. In addition, members can choose free fresh produce e.g. fruit, vegetables, pasta and bakery items for no additional cost. The membership fee is used by the Pantry to purchase top-up food stocks as required. We desperately need more donations to provide food to those in need. We have many people who do not have enough money to pay the weekly fee and so we provide free visits and crisis provision.
