COMMUNITY CHILDCARE CENTRES (Growing Places) have been providers of not-for-profit childcare for over 20 years in Havant and Fareham Boroughs; we invest in our facilities, staff and resources and are committed to ensuring the highest quality of care and education for your child. As a charitable company Growing Places operates a variety of childcare centres around Havant and Fareham Boroughs caring for children aged from 6 months to 11 years. Well trained, highly motivated and committed staff ensure that all our children are provided with a safe, secure, warm, stimulating play and learning environment. Growing Places community department run family cookery workshops, introduction to and exploration of a verity of fruit and vegetables and how they contribute to health and wellbeing. Cook and eat workshops where we show families and the community how to make healthy low cost meal on a budget. Our community pantry is a lifeline to our community in providing a helping hand to others, and saving good food going to landfill. Alongside our soon to be community garden starting 2022! A place where you can grow, learn and be a peace together whilst feeding the community.

Wickham Community Centre is a vibrant and busy community centre in rural Hampshire. We are developing a range of community projects to enhance the lives of local people. These include: • The Wickham Pantry - run by volunteers to provide discount food to its members with the aim of food justice for all. • Wickham Community Garden - an oasis of calm, providing gardening and learning opportunities and produce to village residents • Wickham Community Fridge - saving food from landfill • Meon Valley Tots - play and stay activities for parents and young children • Monday Lunch club - a monthly gathering for older residents • Wickham Flicks - a monthly cinema club, a world away from the multi-screen experience The centre is a charity and run by local people, for local people. Its facilities provide local groups and businesses a venue at an affordable price. The centre offers a wide range of opportunities, from crafts to education to sports and more, all locally and not for profit.

Looprun is a response division and part of an independent social enterprise. This is more than food and is part of a supportive services platform to help people get sustained in their own individual way. With up to 94% success rate and seeing once those receiving free Looprun response bags to returning to stores as shoppers with baskets full. These are the impact stories created when all come together to do good for good. Service users are signposted to Looprun mostly from referrals including professionals in social and healthcare. Looprun provides free non perishables, perishable food, toiletries, and brand new clothing to people facing a temporary challenge. Whatever supermarkets, stores, and retailers can do is turned into a grateful donation to a neighbour in need. This is a response to real people in real-time. No food is banked providing a direct in and out service. We believe if the food is stored then a person in need is not getting any food, hence we provide an instant response and instant impact service. Looprun has access to professional volunteers who carry out a confidential support service to people in need. From homeless shelters, hostels, sheltered housing, care homes, soup kitchens and schools. This is a non voucher, free and confidential service. This means Looprun can reach more people in need with food donations. Anyone that receives a Looprun bag of essential food items is sustained thus creating a loop cycle.
