How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Lidl has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Healthy Eating at Idris Davies School

Tredegar, UK

The healthy eating project will cover a number of different aspects of our work as a school. We will be establishing a healthy breakfast club in the secondary phase. With pupils taking part in making their own healthy breakfast. We will also be providing afterschool clubs where pupils can attend with their parents healthy cooking classes. In addition we will be providing afterschool meals to those pupils in need. We will also be working with a number of other community based organisations to ensure that pupils have access to meals during the school holidays. This project forms part of a larger Family and Community Engagement Strategy that we have developed as a school. Intergenerational work will also be fully embedded across all aspects of this work.
