Since 2008, PATCH has been giving free food parcels, clothing and household items to people in financial crisis in Pembrokeshire. We work closely with referral agencies to help those that are experiencing hardship through, for example, a delay in benefits, fire, theft and escaping emergency situations. HOW DOES IT WORK? Access to items is by referral. When a referral agent issues a client with one of our vouchers, they can bring it in to any of the Basics Bank venues to exchange it for up to 5 days of food for the people specified on the voucher. This will be a mix of tinned, boxed and packets of food. Clothing, Household items, (pots pan, bedding etc.) and/or toiletries

Ysgol Harri Tudur/Henry Tudor School is the second largest comprehensive school within Pembrokeshire with over 1250 learners. Over 27% of our learners come from families which qualify for free school meals and 40% of learners have some sort of additional learning need. The school's catchment area includes some of the most deprived communities from within the county. The school has a dedicated autistic wing. Too many of our learners are attending school hungry. Whilst we have successfully been granted funds from the Tesco Community Grant scheme to assist with providing exam breakfasts; this is only directed at learners in key exam years. The need sadly to tackle breakfast hunger goes wider across the whole school. Hence our request for breakfast items such a cereals, bread, butter and jam to help us address this.
